Trimming

Trimming back the limbs
Peeling layers from the sins
Shedding the extras that don't matter
Losing excessive weight, no longer fatter
Washing dirt from under hiding places
Able to now enjoy the sun rays
Mind feeling less emotional, in a better place
Mirror looking back and able to recognize my own face
Trimming back the limbs to see the path
Llooking over my shoulder at the past, now I am able to laugh
